The skies boomed out their will
And I, knelt down,
Held out my heart,
As if it were a silver tray,
Which was meant to hold this will of theirs,
As it would be carried throughout
The river of my life
So that my soul, my pulse, my breath,
My thoughts and my whole essence
Be immersed in it to such an extent
That living rhymes and equates directly with it!
The skies boomed out their will,
And I, mere child of their cosmic mystery
Can only wear patience as my dress
While waiting for it to be acted out!
From up there do I come from
And to themselves shall I return
So much that living on Earth,
Even if laden with pleasures or with pain,
Remains such a drag!
Why, the skies have guided me on my path
Since then, my breath has been filled with expectation
As it can happen as I have never thought it would!
Pray, shall you seek me out,
Know that you shall find me in evergreen gardens
Lost in amorous contemplation for what is to be
Having, tangled all around me,
The creepers of Earthly passion,
Creepers, of which one whiff of their fragrance
Is powerful enough as to have me swirling up in clouds
In clouds which till then, have been playing mischievous games
Of hide and seek with me!
Yes, submerged I am, in between leaves and flowers
Fighting with my own patience,
The battle fought by all lovers since times immemorial
When doubtful they were, of having their love acknowledged
And returned to them!
Still, trust inhabits me, as if were a Goddess
Having been sat on a shrine in the temple of my body
The skies' will can never be forsaken
The skies' will does always be
Regardless!
