When placed on Life's scale~~~~

When placed in Love's presence
The calm that settles over me
Feels like the magic of a rainbow
As it appears over the mountains and the fields
Signifying the end of the storm!

Love, so I accepted
Because He remains so human
Yet, so Godly,
Having chosen to fall from his abode
To save my broken soul
From the sufferings I inflicted upon myself
Hoping,
That by doing such,
I would even forget about Love,
Being what He is,
A God,
Whose power shall never have a rival!

Pray, the howling winds amidst the warmth of the sunshine
Tends to imply that here,
Sweetness is nevertheless meant to be accompanied with harshness
Love, being at arm's reach
Love, yet, being trapped
In Maya's veil,
So that merely wanting to be lost
In Love's arms
And to tell him of His Godly nature
Remains a task so herculean!

Why, when placed on Life's scale,
My fiery passionate feelings
For Love;
Whether as a God or in human form,
Remain unshaken!

Yes, for Love, I shall swallow dirty water if need be
For Love, I shall sleep among vipers
And I shall even crawl in the mud!

The temporary facets of Earthly life
Scare me not
What triggers me
Is whether Love knows
About Himself
Or, if, with Maya coiled around Him,
He has allowed himself no room
To be anything else
Other than life's puppet!

Skies' Enigma

The skies are more than testing,
Remaining ever so silent,
They never give any sign
That they are watching over us
While we do tread on the uncertain paths
Of Life,
As if we were orphans,
Having lost everything
In war ravaged counties!

The skies, though, do bear with us
As if we were much needed
Much heeded,
So important
For the survival of Existence,
Existence, which remains in itself,
An essence which we humans
Can understand not
However much we do keep digging
At the roots of its origin!

To the skies' silence
I do submit
As if I were a lover
And they, romantic piano tunes
Softly and sensually melting my heart
Causing me to cry openly
While I do succumb to the demands of the beloved!

Pray, after all, trying to find answers
To those issues over which we have no control
Makes us even more fake
Than puppets dancing to the whims of the puppeteers!

Why, puppets move because they are heeded
And we, humans, exist for a cause
A cause only the skies are aware of
Pray, life may be a suffering
But it is
Mainly because it has been meant to be
Consequently, we do have no other option
Than accepting it diligently!

The skies are where it all started
The skies are that which I trust
To them I do give an offering of myself
May I be
As they deem me to be!

Mighty Life

Pray, why should I feel scared of Life?
Life is not real
If it were,
It would end not!
If it were,
It would have allowed stars
To speak to us,
To recount to us
Of our aim and purpose!
If it were,
It would have allowed us
To hear the sweet and melancholic
Melodies of the moon
As it shines majestically in the night sky!
If it were,
It would have allowed us to choose
That which were the best for ourselves!

Life is not real,
My identity is not
The body that I carry is not
Nor is my personality
Nor is my consciousness
Nothing is real here
From the most pleasing of joys
To the most scary of miseries
Why,
Nothing is to be taken at heart!

Life remains as it is,
A boggling mystery
Bent on being,
And imposing upon us,
Her dues!

Why, being a mere ignorant human
Inhabiting a most sensitive gait
I choose to close my eyes
When faced with life's light
And to keep them closed still
When faced with life's darkness
As none do matter,
And nothing shall ever do!

Pray, like a lover finding her pleasure
Only in the suffering inflicted by her beloved
I choose to sit,
Still, in the darkness of the night
And to let Life
Do as it wills,
Upon me
As, in the very end,
I shall never gain from life
Regardless!

Yes, sitting still and bidding life
To dance and trample upon me
To whisper sweet nothings to me
To drench me in seas of mystical dews
To hurl me up in its other worldly clouds
To imbibe in me powers, as to have me touch stars
To allow me to see who resides in the center of the sun
Why, to do,
Simply,
As it wills
As, being a mere particle of dust
In the expanse of Existence's attire,
Who I am
To claim anything from life,
When it is not
Real!

New beginnings~~~~

Watching the sun glide gracefully down the shadowed sky
While I sat on a lonely beach
Bid me to picture images of a baby being born!

Why, somewhere, across this vast world,
Somewhere I shall never reach with my two feet,
Somewhere, the sun was rising to give a new beginning
A new birth, a new start
To those who cared to realize it!

For me, and for all of us who had witnessed the dozing sun,
It simply meant that now was the time for us to slumber with it
While shedding off our toils,
To embrace, as pupas do,
New beginnings when the sun will dutifully show up again
At our windowsill
To allow us some warmth
And all that which we need to maintain our human life!

Yet, even armed with the awakening needed to perceive
The sun's truth,
I know,
I shall doze
Only to wake with my toils weighing heavily on my soul!

Pray, we merely believe we are caterpillars!
We encage ourselves in soap bubbles
And enjoy our existence
Till they get burst!

Surely, the sun continues with its routine duties
Out of fear for that great power which brought it to life
And I, can help not but to follow the sun's example!
Are the skies' ways not so mystifying
Are they not testing
Are they not cruel
Caring never for our slightest whims
But seeking merely to see their wishes being fulfilled
While expecting that we accept their dues with smiles plastered on our faces
Even if it feels like a million claws and a million jaws
Are gnashing at our bodies and devouring our hearts!

Why, someday, I shall close my eyes with the sun's tempo
And I shall wake, hopefully,
In that realm where Death has no right to approach
And where my muse is waiting for me,
And then,
Maybe,
The soothing tunes of divine love shall help me
Feel relieved of my toils!

Lost in a dream

Lost in a dream,
I flew to a land I knew not,
There,
It would seem,
Everyone was busy,
Rushing to and from their routines!

And I, dressed in a white veil,
Could only allow my hammering heart
To paint, on those paths which were laid in front of me,
The scenarios meant to be the setting for
What was to come!

Lost in a dream,
I flew to that land
Which I never knew existed,
There,
I was handed my dues
Which I accepted,
Knees bent and head bowed
As if,
I were a fairy being allowed to go back home
After having been held captive in mundanity!

There,
I watched the sunset,
There,
I let the notes of the flute
Soothe me down,
Melt me down
And drown me,
Under the weight of their magnificence!

Pray, of what use is dreaming
If dreams arouse not in us,
The exalt of the mystical side of life!

Lost in that dream,
I never returned to the real
Rather, captured and abducted,
I became a Queen,
One meant to cater
Solely to responding to the loving demands
Of that King who sought me out!

Pray, lost, somewhere in between the real and the dream world
I became as pure as doves are
When they have to choose between war and peace
Or between hating and forgiving
Pray,
If dreams do become true,
Then, so may it be!

Life's Masters

If Life has a meaning,
Pray, enlighten me of it!
Pray, do awaken me to its sense
So that I may fall in love with it!

Why, living on conditions,
While cowering from the fear of danger,
Hoping to be able to accomplish all that I desire
Before the mighty Death catches my soul,
Is not exactly what I would describe as being fairness!

If we are not punished beings,
Suffering of the consequences of our actions,
If we are not cursed souls,
Treading in a world which is somewhat milder than Hell,
Then, what are we?
What are we, if not,
Laden with desperation,
Which we hide behind glamorous smiles
And fake assets!

Pray, living on Earth is not meant for me,
The creepers seeded in my heart,
By the gardeners of the mystical
Have grown,
And have reached the skies' limits!

Yet, the masters of those gardeners have axed them down
Wanting to see me solely catering to my dues
In relation to the fallen creature that I am,
My dues, accentuated by the course of my fate,
My fate, as whispered to me by those same masters!

Pray, Life and its lack of meaning has me swirling in it
As if it were a vicious cycle
And I, a mere agent of this cycle,
Crucial for its continuation!

If Life were to have a meaning,
Then, the skies' wish would have materialised itself,
But Life is our own chastiser,
Shall we care to be forgiven,
We shall have to accept the load of sufferings it imposes upon us
Even if these include
Living as an image, an image
Hiding behind its smile,
A fractured soul, infected with porous torments!

Faling in love with the rain~~~~

Falling in love with the pelting rain is no easy task
For one, the rain makes itself scarce,
Shows itself only when it desires to
And adds on to its superiority by washing itself away
Leaving us all, in tears,
For want of holding it and keeping it captive,
As, being the rain, it thrives in freedom!

Falling in love with the rain
Is as hard as the pain felt by Sisyphus
Each time his boulder fell off his grip!
As, like the boulder,
The rain instills in us all,
That it can never be controlled!

Falling in love with the drizzling rain
Requires much strength and veracity
As the pleasure and the soothing cool-off
That it gives when it falls upon our skin
Is felt only once and leaves us yearning for more,
While letting us burn in the heat of the sun
Yearning and pining for more of the rain's peace!

Falling in love with the rain
Remains though, my sole pleasure,
Like the thirsty, I do indulge in it
As such is what has been written for me by the skies
And whispered to me while I swirled in a bout of mystical dreaming
Why, like the knave yearning for freedom,
I shall keep suffering for the rain,
I shall keep missing it
And I shall keep waiting for it to show itself
Even if that would imply drinking dirty water
To appease my pain in the meantime!

Falling in love with the rain
Calms my soul and soothes my pandemonium
So much that shall I never choose to fall out of love
Being so comfortable in its suffering state
After all, why would I not be,
If such is what the highest subtle powers deemed for me!

Like the child~~~~

I read a book, made for children
And was amazed at how simple things
In life strike those innocent souls!

Why, I had forgotten about the joy
Of watching clouds in the blue sky
And deciphering the forms of these!

I had forgotten of the thrill
Of reclining under the shades of trees
And listening to birds chirping
While keeping my eyes closed!

I had forgotten of the enthusiasm
One gets while admiring animals,
By touching them and by bonding with them!

I had forgotten of the sooth
One gets while one enjoys a sunset
On a deserted beach aligning a calm sea!

I had forgotten of the haven
One steps into when one gets to be hugged
By an older parent; thereby shedding off
All of the troubles and the worries that cling to us
Allowing us, even if only for some time,
The ability to think that as from then
We shall smile at all times, at Life!

Pray, is being an adult so aggressive
Is routine so invasive
As to have had me get addicted to it
To such an extent that I had allowed it to
Suffocate me and to control me
As to have me perceive life
The way it wants me to!

Can I not press the switch in me,
The switch which would allow wild music
To roll through me
Thereby causing me to fly through life
With the mind and the heart of a child,
While keeping the stance of an adult,
Enjoying the very simple pleasures of Earth,
Pleasures which we have taken for granted
And to which we have turned blind!

Can I not calm the unrest that flows through me
Simply by reminding myself
That like the child,
I have to grope on to myself,
My beliefs, my values, my inner world,
While at the same time, being an adult,
Showing enough strength as to fight back
At the hostility the world strikes at me?

Pray, arming myself with such
Won't I absolutely be able to love life?

As dutiful children~~~~

Pray, does life on Earth have to keep on thriving?
Do we need to keep on reproducing
And protecting our offspring
So that,
One day, they do feel
This heavy gloom of life
As I do feel?

Life, ruled by Death,
By the mystery of our origin,
By the enigma of our purpose,
By the questionings of faith
By the constant testing of ourselves!

Why, does the world need more children
Does the world need more destruction
More pollution
More dilapidation of its gems
To reach, someday, a state of having
Those same offspring
That we produced
And protected
Wondering at their aim, their purpose,
Their meaning and the essence of their lives!

But then, the world itself is our mother,
If, we did stop reproducing and brought her
To exist all alone,
In a galaxy which would then,
Stare at her, ever so stonily,
Would she be happy?
Would she not feel the emptiness of her own existence
And lament at her separation from the skies;
The skies, being naught but the other part of her soul,
Would she not crumble,
Faced with the weight of her agony?

Why,
Even if the children of the world
Are changing and bringing forth
A new facet to its landscape,
Existence needs them,
As it would be void without them!

Pray,
The question of whether life has to keep on thriving
Is not up to us to answer,
Our lives are ruled not by us
Our lives are fate laden
To this enigmatic power we do have to submit
Blindly, dutifully,
Carrying out our toils without questioning
Till shall open to us
The windows of Truth!

My world~~~~

In my world,
I am yet imbibed with innocence
Ecstatically running after butterflies
Not scared to jump from cliffs
And gleefully wanting to catch fish with my own hands!

In my world,
I live in a garden
One where flowers rain on me
One where lions are friendly with me
One where the cold and the heat bother me not
One where I feel safe enough
As to live my days, naked
With only a flower crown on my head
As I do rule my own world!

In my world,
The purity of my heart is acknowledged
As is the mysticism that fills up my life
Both contributing to make of me
A powerful maiden, imbibed with magic
Potent enough as to turn parrots into frogs
And to make of princes, lovestruck
For mine own mesmerizing essence!

In my world,
I laugh genuinely and smile from the heart
So much that joy sparkles from my breath
And contaminates all those who come across me
Bidding them to forget about their mundane toils
Mundane toils which, in the very end, matter not!

In my world,
The air remains fresh
The threat of doom looms not
And the oceans thrive and breathe cleanly
Thereby allowing polar bears to impose their authority
And whales to enjoy their majestic existence!

In my world,
The promised love pains not
Being at times tender to my innocence
And at other times desirous with passion
So much
That, when basking in his glow
I care no more about myself
Or about imposing my rule over my garden,
Shedding, rather, my weapons away
To allow it to rule over me and over my garden!

In my world,
Life is as I want it to
Pray,
My world,
Painted in between the lines of my poem
Sparkling with the shine of stars
Soothing as peaceful notes
Delightful, with all its raining flowers
My world,
Where I thrive, each night
After having faced
With the harshness of mundanity!

Abandonment~~~

Giving up on the skies' will
Repulses my soul
As to have it burn my heart
And pain my whole self
With dizzying strength!

Why, like the detached saints,
I can only tie the knot that binds
Me to the skies tighter;
Specially since life on Earth remains
An existence so uncertain
So confusing and so perplexed!

Accepting the skies' flow of lava down my throat
As their act of raining flowers over my heart
Are for me,
Ways to prove to them my allegiance
And my genuine love!

To both of these I do submit
Regardless of what may happen to me
For, what matters most in the very end,
Is not the safekeeping of my mundane self
But,
The saving of my soul
The acceptance of my spirit
Into that land known as the one fairer!

The skies' will, though, remains tricky
And tests my patience, my ego and my stillness
They require lots of nerve
To bear with and to swallow and digest
Being made of feminine stance
And having chosen to fall to Earth
For the sake of love,
It becomes, nevertheless, my sole duty
To kneel in front of them
And to cry while telling them
That I do accept their boons!

Pray, is love not learning to swallow one's pride
One's convictions and one's glories
Merely to abandon oneself
Into what wants the beloved?

Someday, the skies, I know,
Shall allow me to paint skies and draw clouds on these
Someday, the skies, I just know,
Shall give me my magic back
And like the wind, I shall visit all the realms of the universe
Like oceans, I shall rage, mighty and bold
Like the sun, I shall dazzle
Like meadows, I shall give peace and sooth!

Yes, someday, the skies' will shall cater solely for me
But for now,
My duty is solely that of submitting
While learning to repent!

Longings~~~

Longings tug at my body
Willing me to pretend that I'm so high
As to be able to fly over life
As if I were an angel;
That of Love,
Made of so much desires,
Which remain unquenched
And which get fulfilled
Each time I open my mouth
And breathe into people
Mine own essence!

Longings tug at my soul
So much that I wish to be freed from this life
After having been deemed pure and genuine enough
As to have been granted my heavenly abode
Hand in hand with the one to complete me,
To satisfy me, to elevate me, as to make me feel
Like I'm the Queen of Life;
Frail, sensitive, yet much revered!

Longings flow through me
As if I were an instrument
And they, musical muses!
Why, of what use is being imbibed with emotions
When these merely get played
In the silence of my room
Unseen and unheard!

Longings turn me into raging oceans
Having much vigour and harshness that
I do crash upon the shores of Earth
Hoping to capture them
And have them in my grip
But, mighty and solid
These keep being attached to the lands
Letting me vent out my needs
While enjoying them,
Nevertheless!

Longings drown into my own self
As if they were soothing sips of wine
Getting absorbed into my skin
Giving me access to elevated realms of  consciousness;
Made of supreme states of well being
And feminine boldness!

Why, longings fill me up
As love songs do
Bidding me to close my eyes
Into the night skies
While stars display their magnificence
And the cosmos chuckles
At my own gullibility!

Longings keep tugging at my body
And I,
Mere being of mystery inhabiting a human body
Can only respond to these
As toddlers would to their favorite toys
As flowers would to seasons
As love would to the lover
As the lover would to the beloved
Why, as humans would to the wills of the skies!

Love, tell me~~~

If I cry openly Will it move you Love? Or do you feel stable Only when I smile and pretend That my blooms are wilting not That my moons...
