Dark Saturday – 30th March 2013

Heavy rain
Bringing pain
Bringing from the forgotten drain
The tragedy of life, in headlines, main!

Darkened age
Said a holy sage
We shall end in a transparent cage
One built by the Lord in a moment of rage

O bloody Saturday
Go back and take that rain away
Give us back those you took in dismay
To life and fate, we shall forever obey!

Unexpected was this disaster
It already has us scarred forever
Now we do fear thy anger O Mother Nature,
Be not so harsh on us in the Future

We shall take care of this land
To its blossoming we shall tend
While mending our injuries
While remembering this day for centuries!

A princess's fairytale

She knew not pain
She knew not disdain
She would never be slain
She was so vain!

Marching with invicibility
She forgot simplicity
And let go of melancholy
She was now a friend of the Almighty

Such was her thought on that day
There, on life's testing alley
She learnt to disobey
And never even bothered to curtsey

Not even when he came her knight
In the guise of worn out kite
She, instead of being loving, became full of spite
And suddenly her life was no more bright!

A curse fell on her
A statue she was to be forever
One as abominable as fever
Forever  lost in the Never Never

Such is the tale of a princess
Her life rang with success
Yet she became imbued with abcess
For arrogant was her address!

Painful Sting

A decade ago,
Fate did try to let go
Though I was deep unto sorrow
My mind got cleared of its blunder
A naked illusion ringing with thunder
Brought forth a new vision of my admirer

Time did pass,
Slowly trying never to harass
As stingy as a wasp
Several times it did try to trespass
The land of my fate, unto which I clasp
Today, I still hear those echoes in my mass!

A decade ago,
I could not even borrow
Though my karma did sow
I  today reap, while feeling low
Waiting for the dawn of tomorrow
When a new wind shall blow!

For our Independence from a child of the soil

On this great day in your glory
I salute thee, o peaceful estuary!

Long live our earned Independence
Long live this achieved magnificence
It does grant us with liberated freedom
To revere our most cherished kingdom

Cheers for allowing me to be Free
Free to be, in peace, justice and liberty
Free to write, free to be in symphony
Free to be a woman in all simplicity

With all my dreams and aspirations
I enjoy being in a state of liberations
Being respected and revered
Being regarded and admired

Gained after my forefather's hard toil
Today, being a child of the soil
I write to breathe in all unity
I write to share with you, this exalt of liberty!

Say, little island, Lion of the surrounding oceans
Proud we all are, after 45 years, to be Mauritians!

On that golden day

It was on a golden day
Marked in the most celebrated way

The day I got united in a bond
There by the bank of the little pond

A day when I said I do
To the one  I woo

He came eons later
A day when life turned into a lover

Holding his hand, I smiled
Knowing that his heart is mine all styled!

Today having turned into a wise swan
I still smile while looking at my chosen one

All grey and beardy
I still am, in love, all greedy

It was on a golden day
When I learnt that Cupid does make his own hay!

Once upon a blue...~~~

Once upon a blue moon
My heart began to swoon
A prince charming showed up
With a nice smile and a trendy hiccup

I bid him to drink some nectar
And took him to my holy altar
Where we made love all  night long
In his arms, I swore that only to him shall I belong!

Very soon, we were united
In an eternal bond, we were so adulated
Then it came, the fiery storm
Which broke our love, so in deiform!

It came as an ego
One which could not forego
It sought to please itself
And would not see love's wealth

Once upon a blue moon
I sit and miss my boon
Shall I be blamed for my sensibility
Or shall I blame life for its cruelty?

Love, tell me~~~

If I cry openly Will it move you Love? Or do you feel stable Only when I smile and pretend That my blooms are wilting not That my moons...
