Cradling my soul

My soul sought out to feel fulfilled
Swirling in its own microcosm
It did feel that something was amiss
So, it cracked open its eggshell
And managed to crawl out of me
Seeking to feed itself
With all the pleasures that the world would offer!

It first went to a pond
Where, for the first time ever,
It saw its own reflection in the water
Why, is that it?
It wondered out loud
A body meant to grow, to age
To be taken care of, to feed,
To bathe, to beautify
Solely to shed it off at some point in time?

Dejected, it chose to mingle with humans
Why, seeing the veil of ignorance over their vision
Seeing their attachment for the pleasures of the flesh
Seeing their devotion to a world, so uncertain
It chose to hide itself in shadowy places
In places where none would be able to reach out to it,
For, humans, it would seem,
Lived to enjoy while denying the suffering imposed upon them!

Its heart pulsating with pain
It chose to knock on doors where religion was practiced
Only to discover that nothing was there
Nothing except the need to be imbibed with a sort of mindset
One in which life was given meaning
Life was made bearable
Life was ascribed rules and regulations
Why, shall it ever feel fulfilled here?

It then chose to immerse itself in the sparkling show of starlight
Which offered itself to it
There, on a high cliff where the winds whisper
And the moon sings
While creatures of the night dance
But
Still, it was met with silence and emptiness!

Is that it, whispered my soul, is that all this world gives
False pleasures and emptiness
Bidding one to lose one's divine connection
Bidding one to be more and more tangled in the unnecessary,
In sin,
So that one gets trapped and enslaved to it?
Why, what is it that feeds on our needs?
What is it that feeds on our negativity?

Pray, pitying my soul,
I chose to cradle it up to my bosom
As if it were a frail child
Listen, whispered I to it
I've already seen the impending doom that hangs over us
I've already felt the emptiness
I've already conditioned myself to accept my fate
Know that here, neither you nor I shall feel fulfilled
Know that to be fulfilled
You shall have to wait for when ropes shall be thrust upon you
To cling on, to be lifted there, where bliss and fulfillment prevail!
Here, emptiness and gloom reign
See, even the world revolves upon its own misery
So pray, when you feel like you need to find fulfillment
Just open yourself
And allow the melodies of mystery to invade your whole self
Till shall come the time to welcome that glow you seek for!

Eyes Closed

Eyes closed,
I let my mind take me to the land I rule
There where everything is as I want it to be
There where crocodiles cower as I walk by
There where clouds yearn for the power of my kiss to fly to Earth
There where, as compared to Earth,
Everything is as it seems to be!

Eyes closed,
I relax my shoulders
And smile at nothing in particular
Living with little requirements is blissful
Living with no expectations is heavenly
Living by obeying the rules of fate and
The wills of the skies
Is stabilizing!

Pray, eyes closed,
I let my mind do as it wills
Even to the extent of having my cheeks turn crimson
As images pour down on my inward vision
Images I have chosen to ban
But images which remain hovering over my head
As if they have been stitched to my heart!

Eyes closed,
I breathe in harshly
And clench my fists tight
While trying to calm the frenzy that is in me
Pray, there in my world
As I rule with gentleness and compassion
Everything is as I want it to be
Yes, everything that makes up my own cosmos
From mighty crocodiles to subtle clouds
Everything acts according to my own will!

Riddling Obscurity

Once, as I stood and stared at the stars
Totally lost in their splendor
There appeared in my hands
A parchment paper
On which was written
My life as I had lived it till then!

As I tried to make out what to do with it
There appeared in my hands
A pen
Write it as you want it to be
Whispered the winds
Write of your life as you want it to happen henceforth!

My grip shook and I bit my lips hard
So hard that a trickle of blood ran down my chin
Pray, am I supposed to write of my own life
Is it not cheating
Why, if I be allowed to write of such
May it be so for the rest of the world!

Write of your life, whispered the winds again
You have the opportunity to
The rest of the world will not be given this chance
But you do
Immerse yourself in the splendor of such
And write whatever you wish to!

My grip failed me as my hands turned shaky
The pen fell on the dark soil and I slumped down
Feeling like I am a huge mess
I won't write anything, whispered I to the night sky
I won't write anything simply because I remain in love
In love with the power that willed me to be
In love with its mercy and its harshness upon me
In love with its pricks and its thorns
In love with its mystery!

I choose not to adhere to this boon of it
I choose, rather, to wait,
For what it will thrust upon me
And to live it all with a smile plastered on my face
As a token of proof of my love for it
Whispered I to the winds!

The winds shuddered and the night shadows trembled
The stars danced and the cosmos became alive
The piece of paper disappeared from my hands
And I was left with nothing but the sounds of the winds
Swishing past me!

Relieved, I smiled
Knowing that the power that governs it all
Has accepted to test the might of my love
Why,
I shall not fail it
I intend not to
For I live for it!

Soothed, I chose to sit and stare at the stars once more
Knowing that someday
I shall be there, by the side of the power
That allows them to birth!

Between Santa and I

Dear Santa,
I've been overly good this year
Yes, I've kept myself solidly attached to my duties
I've smiled and been kind
I've swallowed my pride
I've forgiven
I've opened my arms to shelter the needy
Dear Santa
Do I need to show you my conduct report?

Dear human imbibed with poetic imagination
I will surely come around
I will surely give you a magical Christmas
Just remember to let your front door ajar
So that I may just drop by
With what is due to you!

Pray Santa
Tell me, what is it?
The child inhabiting me
The child I still am
Is yearning to know!

Dear human
Do keep it a secret
Come, come closer
I shall tell you
I have for you, Pandora's box
It shall be up to you to choose
Whether you wish to open it or to keep it closed!
I have for you, a hot air balloon
With which you shall have the possibility to fly
All over the world for free
And see if you can do so in less than eighty days
I have for you glittery sparkles of dust
Using which you shall be able to discover other worlds
To recount of these to the rest of humankind
So that they do get imbibed with faith and hope
I have for you, a magic wand
Which you shall use to tame the world
To make it such a one as you deem best
Such a one, cured and breathing!

Dear Santa
Thank you, thank you so much
You have surely listened to the beats of my heart
You have surely glimpsed at the depth of my soul
These are exactly what I need!

I shall keep some biscuits and some coffee for you
Please do know that I shall keep on being good
So that I do get to enjoy more of your amazing gifts
As the years shall go by!

Melting power of stars

Stars gleam on the ceiling of the dark night
Bidding me to shed off all of my broods
Why, when life remains as enveloping
As are the sounds of the winds
On the lonely desert sands at night
When life remains as uplifting
As the melodies of a snake charmer's flute
Pray, of what use is living with agony on my soul
Why, Existence is naught but a continuous maze of mystery!

Stars gleam on the night ceiling
And faced with such a glorious sight
I can't help not but feel insignificant
Why, my being remains as all others are
Just another consciousness immersed in a body
For a purpose still not revealed to me
Or to anybody else!

Why, faced with those stars,
As the bitterness melts from every core of my being
I feel comforted
Life may be a cruel Goddess
Hidden behind the facet of a fair Fairy
Still,
She has made it known to us that she is so
Because we deserve it!

Someday, I shall be there where stars are
I shall burn with the same intensity that they are
I shall open my wings and dance as feverishly
As a soul having realized the power of mystical Love
I shall, by doing such, entrance other mortal beings
To the extent of causing them to feel as I am now
By watching stars gleam on the night ceiling!

Pray, life is meant to be lived
Whisper the winds to me
Life is meant to be enjoyed
Sing the trees to me
Life is meant to be accepted
Whisper the night itself to me
So, pray, open the padlock which guards your heart
Open it and throw the key away somewhere
Somewhere where it shall be engulfed in my shadows
And do let Life embrace you as it desires to!

Why, the stars gleam and I can only close my eyes
In silent submission to their will
What am I after all, if not their offspring
What am I after all, if not frail and feminine in kind
What am I after all, if not obedient and submissive
What am I after all, if not a puppet driven by mystical powers?

Love, tell me~~~

If I cry openly Will it move you Love? Or do you feel stable Only when I smile and pretend That my blooms are wilting not That my moons...
