The Festival of Lights~~~

How absolutely gorgeous
How absolutely delicious
The return of the Lord, always so gracious
From his exile, the land of the inglorious

How absolutely magnificent
To see for a night, the world so radiant
Usually so dull and so dark
Blessed it is, blessed with a divine spark

Humanity can only be awed at this exalt
And can only wish for time to halt
For such a night
Comes only once a year

Only once a year do I get the joy
Of sharing with my peers
A smile laden with happy tears
Candies made with a mood so coy

Fourteen lamps do we ceremoniously light
For 14 years, battles with evil, our Lord did fight
Battles which tested his love with great might
Battles which make insignificant our own sorrowful plight

Pray, world, do taste of my home made pastries
Made with love and devotion
Shared with you  not to please only the divinities
But also to bring a smile to the faces of the whole population

Divali, a much loved festival
Better than even the carnival
Tonight, let us make of our cultural duty

Our shared promise of pious charity!

Love, tell me~~~

If I cry openly Will it move you Love? Or do you feel stable Only when I smile and pretend That my blooms are wilting not That my moons...
