If love is all about compromise
And understanding
Then, pray,
Why do lovers cling on to each other
Wanting not to let go
Wanting to show to the world
That they do control each other
That they do have possessive power over each other
And even, end up being aggressive and brutal
If they feel threatened?
Why, if love is all about freedom
While remaining in moral and societal limits
Then,
Why is it that lovers end up separated
If they happen not to clip the wings of each other?
Pray, love is merely a song
A stirring one with powerful and emotional lyrics
It belongs to the whole world
Meant to imbibe in everyone its depth
Meant to have everyone cling on to it
In a universal bond sealed by the beats of their hearts!
Why, love is the reason the world revolves continuously
Allowing us all to thrive and bloom on its soil
Love is all about freedom
And living it remains an art
An art, which, sadly
Only handfuls excel in!
